How to put same border around label and textbox.

In a report im creating I want to labels and there associated textbox to have the same border around them, how can i do this. By default the text box has a border around it and i know how to create a border around the label but the borders are then seperate. How can i create the same border around them both.

You could try using the format painter. The format painter is a tool located within the Format tab of the Design tab of the Ribbon. It is represented by a paintbrush icon.

While in design view, click a control to highlight it. Click the paintbrush icon. Click another control to copy the format properties to the second control.

How about resizing the label, so that the textbox is inside of the labels border, then remove the border on the textbox, add it to the label and you should be fine.

Hmm, seems I misunderstood. Perhaps the rectangle tool is an option. You could make the borders for the textbox and its label transparent and then place a rectangle around them. The rectangle background could be transparent or you can position the object to send to the back.
