I have not tried every option, I am sure. The only way I have found to hide the Quick Access Toolbar within Access is to hide the Ribbon and the Toolbar together using
    DoCmd.ShowToolbar "Ribbon", acToolbarNo

The Quick Access Toolbar is a child to the Ribbon. A custom Window for the Ribbon may do the trick. I just find it easiest to get rid of the Ribbon and use custom controls that depend on VBA for the user's benefit. I do that and custom shortcut menus.

Here is some info on Custom Ribbons

Dear this customizing quick access toolbar is very easy just right click any control and click put to quick access toolbar. It will immediately start showing on your quick access toolbar. To hide you ribbon just right click it's tab and click on minimize ribbon. It will also go away. Use quick access toolbar for the items you use most frequently and keep the ribbon hidden after you have completed your database development.

All buttons open relevant forms, very easy to modify. I was going to write a simple database to do the code for people. Might work on that to help out.
