Making the switch from Access 03 to 13

I have a DB that was setup with 03. Now I'm using 13. When I try to import external data from a spreadsheet, it tells me the 1st row contains data that can't be used for titles, so it assigns its own titles, and then won't finish the deal because the titles it creates don't jive with the titles existing in the table.

Is there a workaround for this?

Can you elaborate what you mean by, "Titles"?

The import process can be interrupted or partially completed if the table that the data is being imported to does not match. Consider the data types and the names of the fields.

Are you using a saved import procedure or are you running the wizard each time you import?

It would be easiest to understand your problem if you remove any personal data from your database, zip it into a file, and post it for us to look at.

    Hi -

It's only a guess - but do any of your Excel columns have blanks in their titles? If so, try replacing the blanks with under_scores. I have seen blanks cause issues, even on earlier version of Access.
