    Current Date Error

    Top of the Mornin Chaps!

    I want to have the current date in my table, so in the default value box i enter "=Date()" and select "Date/Time" for the data type. However, when i go to save this table i keep getting this error message, I have started the table from scratch an still get the same results, the error message is a screenshot in this link

    EDIT : Just letting you know, i would of uploaded it to an image hosting site but the school i am at blocks them all, so the zip file is just an image

    I am unsure as this does not match the error message you posted.

    So instead of "=Date()"

    try

    Date()

    I am guessing a little here.

    Question: do you add records to this table via datasheet view, or via a form? Because if you have a form which updates the table, this will be easy.

    If you go into Design view for the table, select the attribute in mind, and set its default value to Date(), as Rainlover suggested, you will be good to go. Note, however, that any existing records will not have a value for this field.
