How to create an Exam Question Bank

I run a Homework club and have been asked to design/create an Exam Question Bank.

Might be better to explain this using examples.

Say GCSE English: The Exam Bank will have 50 questions within. The user requires 10 questions to be printed. The Exam Bank would select 10 random questions and print them.

Would require this for about 15 subjects.

Any idea on how to start?

I'm looking for idea's and suggestions at this stage.

    Thanks

Yes, I'd start on paper, identifying the objects you will require. You may consider a Subject table, a Question table, and a Student table. Additionally, if you plan to record scores, include a Grade table. Make sure your tables don't overlap; that is, no Question data in the Student table, and no Subject data in the Question table.

Then you need to determine attribute data types and lengths, any default values you may require, and, finally, attributes which will link related tables together. That last bit is not the least important, though.

Get going on those tasks, and keep us posted on your progress!
