Report control of a field display/no display

I have a report which list records that make up a diary of events. Each event is a record. On a given day there may be one or more records. I have created the report so that each record is printed on one line with DAY, Date (day no) and Data followed by a line (underline) for each record. Where I have more than one record for any given day I end up with each record showing the same DAY, Date and an underline.

What I wouild like to achieve is if two or more records exist for a given day is only one Day and Date printed with an underline at the bottom of the series of records for that day.

    Any Ideas?

    David

Report controls have a "Hide Duplicates" property you can set to YES.

    Report Hide Duplicates

    Hi Rural Guy,

Lots of thanks for the help on Duplicates that's got rid of the field duplicates (day and Day No).

I now have the line that seperates the duplicate records, I could shorten this to make it seperate the data fields only, however it would be neater to remove altogether, hence is there a way of dealing with this line.

    Most grateful
    David

You need to Group on the date and put the line in the Group Footer rather than in the Detail section of your report.
