    certain events shut down Access

    that simple...

    I have a pretty simple form (been fine for a long time); but lately a click on any of the controls that would navigate thru the records: a "next record" or "new record" command button, or clicking in a combo box that would navigate to a specific record, apparently anything that is NOT in the detail section, except for a single (recently added) command button that opens a new form causes Access to shut down.

    Disabling that command button does not fix the problem;
    Compact and Repair does not...

    any suggestions?

    with many thanks in advance,
    Mark

    This issue started after adding the new button?

    Do you have a version from before that?

    Maybe corruption.

    Rebuild form. Try copy/paste all controls to a new form object.

    If that fails, try import to new db file.
    How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    Also, is this a multi-user environment? If so, is it split into a Front End/Back End, as it should be?
