Preventing users from edit the code for a database

I have an access database which was created in 2003. I opened a blank database and imported the definition and data in access 2010 and made the file an accde file. Now this file has a lock symbol next to the access symbol. I am also unable to edit the main form.

    Any suggestions

How did you make the file an accde? That is an executable only version. Not supposed to be able to do design edits. Do design edits with the accdb file.

Okay, now do edits in the accdb file created by the import then repeat publish & save.

Oh, I was confused by 'unable to edit the main form'.

You are unable to enter/edit data on the main form?

    I've never used an accde.

    There are multiple users?
