Hello, I have just joined this forum.
I have created many complex excel spreadsheets for inventory control in a manufacturing environment. People tell me I should learn access, but Im not really sure where to start.
I learned excel by starting with someone elses ss and reworking it.
If someone could help me understand some Access basics I would appreciate it.
I need to know how to track raw materials by deducting quantities when an item is manufactured. Basically item #5 contains Qty 2 of item #1 and Qty 3 of item #2. So if I make 5 of Item #5, I want the inventory of Item #1 to decrease by Qty 10 and Item #2 to decrease by Qty 15.
Its simple for me to do this in Excel, but if someone could lay out the idea in Access, Im sure I could pick it up quickly.
