Have you tried putting what I posted in the ControlSource of a control on your report yet?

Your "unbound" control on the report should be referencing other controls on the report and notn the RecordSource directly. Those controls should be bound (have ControlSources) to the appropriate fields in the RecordSource. No renaing of elements in the RecordSource is necessary. Try adding the Me. scoping to the reference.
    Code:
    =Disclosures(Me.txtValued_Accounts, Me.txtBalance_Credited, Me.txtBalance_Owed, Me.txtValued_Accounts_Length, Me.txtBalance_Credited_Length, Me.txtBalance_Owed_Length)

IT WORKS NOW! basically, i realized that even though i have the table showing in the query, i didn't actually bring those fields into my query, so hence it could not find it!

thank you so much for all your help! hope you get out of the snow!
