Project Explorer display on top of screen

This is probably so simple that I will be embarrassed when answered. When on code screen, the first few times I clicked Project Explorer, it gave me a nice useable list of forms on left screen. Now when I click it, the whole top half of screen displays the list. Very inconvenient-I can only see a few lines of code with top half of screen dominated by a list of forms and much blank space.. Clicking windows "side by side" doesn't do it. How do I get the form list to return to the much more convenient narrow list on left side of the screen? I am using A2007 64 bit with W7.

I don't know about 2007 but in 2010 you can undock the window by grabbing the top of it and dragging. The top of the window is where the X and the description/title is.

When I try it, an outline moves as I move the mouse, but the list doesn't move with the outline. Looks like its "trying". Maybe I should reload program.

I did find a check box for Project Explorer under Tools - Options-Docking and clicked off the checkbox. I can now control where the project explore list is on he screen, but takes some moving around. It doesn't conveniently align itself on left side as it did before.

    Thanks for quick reply.

Whoops -On another try, I drug it to bottom right screen and this time it followed the outline. I was then able to move it and size it as I like it and it reappears there when I turn Project Explorer on and off.

    Thanks much-will mark as solved
