    Opening access application like desk application done with java or vb

    it is possible to Open access application like desk application done with java or vb, or install access application as exe or similar methods.


    My requirements is to giving a access application to customer with data base for printing an invoice. when he running the aplication he can see access open and tables, queries forms left hand. how to hide these thing ?

    I have not used 2007 RunTime or Developer extensions but there is some info here. You can create an executable file that hides tables nav pane etc.

    You can also download 2010 Runtime and install that on PC's without Access. Runtime will open an accdb or accde file. If you choose to deploy an accdb file you can programmatically hide the nav pane, toolbars, and etc.

    Always practice with a copy. Many nuances with the behavior of the file after adjusting startup and menu settings.

    Be aware that holding down shift key while opening accdb file will override most database option settings and bypass Autoexec macro, making everything available. There is a way to disable shift key but if you forget the password, will never be able to get into development mode.
