Report breaks into multiple pages when simple changes are made

I have an Access 2000 database that I've been using successfully for a few years now. I enlarged a text box slightly to allow display of a zip +4 number as opposed to the old ZIP Code. The form then breaks, displaying a single record in pieces over numerous pages.

I'm dragging the end of the box in design mode, not typing in the changes if that matters. I imagine I'm missing something rather simple, any help would be appreciated.

The report is probably too wide. While in Design view try positioning the text box that you resized to the left and shrinking the width of the report until the error message in the upper left hand corner of your report disappears.

I pulled everything closer together and reformatted the page so that my margins were 1/2 inch instead of 1 inch. Now the form fits on one page but there are 3 blank pages between each page with data. Also, the only error message I see is when I switch from design to print preview. It tells me that some of my material is outside of the printable area which doesn't make sense because it takes up less space now than it did. I should warn you, I won't be back until Monday morning so don't feel bad if I don't reply till then.

Regardless of the placement of my controls, I get an error if my reports are wider than 8"". I can hover over the little error tringle to learn more about the error. In my reports, the triangle is green.

I adjust the width of my reports by using the scale and left clicking the outer left edge of the report and dragging.

Thanks a bunch. I never considered the white space around my data as part of the report. I imagine I can go back to my original report (minus all the interior changes) and just pull in the outer edge.

As my credits say, I am a novice to the forum. There may be a 2nd reply floating around somewhere as I wrote one left to do something else came back and it was gone. Same information, just longer. Thanks again.
