    Date picker

I Have changed my computer today. I had a access data base in earlier computer and copied to new computer. In the new computer i opened the data base and opened a form. but the box which was there to select a date is inactive now. When i opened the form i got the following massage. " There is no object in this control" Do you have any idea about this???

I found this. I have not tested it.

Access 2010 has built in date picker is native to access, and does not requite you do drop in some special code that requires references (that are VERY prone to break when moving to other computers). About the only downside of the built in date picker is it does not display a calendar until you click on the little hover icon that appears when you enter into the date text box on the form. For the least amount of hassle, using the built in date picker is your best bet.

Just drop a text box on your form, and ensure that you set the format of the text box to something like short date. You also note a setting to show the date picker (just make sure it not set to never).

In the form's design view, Go to the Properties sheet and set the format to a suitable Date format and "Show date picker" to "For dates" for the text box.

It is like amrut says. Go to the properity of the text box and under "Format" select "Short Date" and it will show the calendar icon on the right upper corner of the text box and form is reopen.
