Switchboard is misspelled error after compact and repair.

Using Access 2007 on Win 7 machine. The database has forms and reports. Access opens to the switch board but after running compact and repair, the forms and reports are removed. All that I read indicates that compact and repair only works on the tables. As a test, I split the database to a front-end and back-end. Running it on the front-end the forms and reports are removed. Some may say, "don't run it on the front-end" but the database is implemented as a packaged solution (with both the fe & be in the same file) and I have not seen this operation before.

Really strange. Try *importing* your db into a fresh new db and see if the issue follows.

Thanks this suggestion worked. One thing I noticed during the import was an indication of an activeX component not being registered. Don't know if it was the culprit at this point, but will check it out later today and update this thread.
