The method GoToRecord is not advancing to the next record when using acNext

I have a button on a report called "Parent Info" with the following code:




DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataReport, "Parent Info", acNext

When I click this button, it does not advance one record to the next. Again this button is in the same report. But for some reason if I use the same code on a button in a form, it does advance one record after another in the report. Why won't this code work when it is a part of a button on the same report?

Is the report in PrintPreview? Buttons do not work.
