Do MSys tables still exist once front end is linked to SQL Server 2008 tables?

Front End Access 2007 and Back End SQL Server 2008. Multi user environment. I was thinking of querying some of the Msys tables for information in my development. But then a thought occurred to me. Once I finish the front end and link the table to SQL Server do the MSys tables still exist to reference or do they vanish? I won't have a test bed to try this on for several weeks. If they vanish there is no sense continuing on an avenue of development I am considering.

    Thanks, Phred

    June7:

A follow up question. I forgot to ask. Were the MSys tables you saw from SQL server populated with data? I am sure you looked but I forgot to ask.

    Thanks Phred

Yes, they were. Doesn't matter what backend you use. Access still has to keep track of stuff.
