    Report changes will not save

I'm using Access 2007. Here's my problem in a nutshell:

I have a report based on a query, but I want to use a different query as the basis of the report. I change the record source of the report and update the fields that show errors. The report runs and appears to work perfectly but Access will not save my changes. This has happened to me several times recently, sometimes after hours of work. What am I doing incorrectly?

I also tried to save the report with a different name, but had no luck.

    I'm confused with your question.

Queries may or may not be updateable recordsets, generally they're not updateable.

    How are you updating data?

Try importing your db into a fresh, new db and see if you still have the issue.

I am having the same issues and tried RuralGuy's suggestion and it didn't work. I also used Allen Browne's Recovery Sequence and it didn't help. Would upgrading to the latest version solve the problem?

Sound like changes made are not updated in your table, and therefore not in your query and report.
Try to find out if the form's data is saved before you generate the report by DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acSave
When u save the data on the form manually like that the table is updated (if that didnt happen allready)
If the table is updated then so will the query.

I had a similair struggle transferring data between forms, as it turned out the forms data wasnt saved.
When i manually did that, it worked fine.
