Closing form minimizes entire Ms Access Application

    Hello Guys,

I have a problem and I hope you can help me. I have 2 forms. Form A and Form B. Form B opena from a link on Form A. I was having a problem with Form B ie it always opened offscreen. I used the following info from a different forum to fix this issue...

I created a visible text box, named TxtHoldfocus, with its Left, Width and Height properties each set to 0". Then on the form's, ONOpen event I executed..

    Forms!YourformsName!txtHoldfocus.Setfocus = True

This works and Form B now opens onscreen. The issue I am having is that when I close Form B it minimizes the entire MS Acess Application instead of going back to form A. This has become very annoying.

Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong?

Do you have any code or macros in either form? Maybe posting your db would speed up the solution.

    Test DB

RuralGuy thanks for replying. I have attached a stripped down version of my DB. Log in as Test Employee. The password is "test". When you log in choose the New Beneficiary button --> Beneficiary Details Form: Interview Tab--> Add Edit beneficiaries button.

When the benficiaries splitform opens, chose the close button. You will see that the entire application minimizes to the task bar.

NB: Make sure you have another window on you pc open (a folder, my computer etc).

If you have anymore questions you can let me know.

    Thanks

It takes some sort of password to look at the code! What is it?

There was something funky with the Close macro on that form so I changed it to code.

I downloaded and tested the DB attached to your last post. The forms still minimize when I click the close button. Which forms macro did you change to code?

    Many Thanks

Hmm...I retested your db following *all* of the directions you gave and now see what you are talking about. Back in a bit.

This seems to be a tricky error. I tried the DB in your last post and the same thing happens. The close button still minimizes the entire application.

    Thanks
