That prints the screen form and then does a preview of the report.

Does it let you select the printer before it prints?

I get a blank preview and the printer select dialog box, I choose the printer I want to print the report on, but the report prints on the default printer, and the screen form prints on the selected printer.

Well, that does not work either.
I tried the OpenTheReport() command and the DoCmd.OpenReport and they both do the same thing.
The report opens in preview, I click on Set Printer, but no printers show up in the Combo/List box.
Then the dialog box won't close when I click the close button.
I have to click the Red X in the upper right corner.

You are showing as Access 2003. Are you patched to SP3 with the HotFix applied as well? At this point I would eliminate corruption as an issue. Importing to a new db clears most issues. Have you done that? Is your OS up to date? You could also be dealing with some sort of Vista anomaly.

I have sp3 and all the hot fixes applied. I have also imported to a new db.
OS is up to date so I guess I am just out of luck.
Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.

Can you try your system on other than a Vista box? It might tell you something.

What I ended up doing was keeping the print button that automatically prints to the default printer.
I then added a preview button. When that opens you then have the Ctrl+P option in the file pull down menu (standard Windows stuff) to redirect printing.
I realized what I wanted was already there, and I didn't have to write any code.
Thanks for all your help. It is well appreciated and I learned a lot.
