    Download and open a DB

I have tried to download and open several attached .ZIP or .accdb files from different threads but keep getting the message:

    UNRECOGNIZED DATABASE FORMAT

What am I doing wrong and what am I supposed to do?

Can you open your own or others? Typically you get that message when you try to open a db created by a later version of Access than you have.

It seems it was created with 2010 and I have 2007. So I just downloaded it from a thread from this forum and would like to open it with my 2007, what do I do?

You can ask the person who posted it to post a 2007 version. To my knowledge there's no way to open it with 2007.
