    unbound textbox to bound textbox

    Hi all

I have a textbox that has a control source (it finds a value from a subform table) I have entered the information in the Data tab and that gets the correct information.

I also have another textbox which is bound to a field in a table (so that I can add the value to tabke)

What I want is for the second textbox to have the same text as the first value?

is this possible? if not can anyone yhink of another way of doing this?

Many thanks for your speedy replys

Requires code to save the calculated value. Why do you need to save?

    What is 'Data' tab?

Basically I am storing lots of files locations in a database. Sometimes there is a problem with the drawing so a change has to be made, therefore I have made a form the searchs for the file and displays the results in a subform. Then I want to copy certain information from that subform, eg file name, to another table called request change

I thought the best way would be to use textboxes

    does this help?

    thanks

The results are displayed in a subform but is the main form bound?

The easiest approach to create a change request record for the selected drawing is with a subform of the request table linked to drawing record of the other subform.
