Within a group header, changing the background color

In designing a report, I have a group header based on a date field within each record. When I preview the report, the group header date is displayed properly. Currently, I only have 2 different dates. When I change the background color within the group header, it is displayed properly within the first group, but the second group is no longer displayed. Neither the second group date nor the background color are displayed. When I print, the second group is printed, but not with the same formatting. Is what I'm doing possible? Thank you in advance!!

How are you changing the background color? Programmatically?

No, within the properties of the group header.

You are using the AlternateRowColor property of group header? Works for me. Can't replicate your issue. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

No, I'm using the Fill/Backcolor, not the alternate fill/backcolor
