System lag when in report design view

    anyone else get this?

each time i design a report my entire system slows right down. i check my cpu usage and it goes up to 100% for long periods of time.

i have a duel-core 2.16, 2.17 GHz processor with 3gb of ram just on my laptop. Should access be slowing my system down this much?

Do you have a Local printer defined? It does not need to be attached but it needs to be defined in your list of printers. A network printer is not good enough.

Access Report designer uses the printer driver when designing. Just define a Text only printer.
