Database Splitting Error

Hello All,
I am trying to split a database that has two tables and 1 form - this is the message I get when I hit "split database" -
Database Splitter:
The database engine could not lock table " because it is already in use by another person or process

I am not sure what it means and how to come around it. Kindly help me.

Do you have any tables open?

No! Tables were not open... but the the form was open - as in, anytime the database was opened the form would also be opened. I designed it such a way that the Form would also open when the database is opened.
I changed that setting and then I was able to open it.
