    2010 to 2007 compatible

This is a frustrating journey. Ive done all the things that I've read about (including MS Backward compat between versions) I can get an accdb to run on both versions but as soon as it is made accde I get the message in 2007 to upgrade to the later version!
    Any clues anyone

You'll have to Deploy a version that was compiled in A2007

    From Here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...3-b8d80146fb50

Here's a reply I got from Bill Mosca, MS Access MVP...
The only thing I can say about this is ACCDE's will have a line of code that
states the version. Even though 2007 is the *same* file version, it probably
isn't compiling with the same version tag.

It's always been that you needed to create the executable in the lowest version
you want it to run in.
...so as you can see you creating it in Access 2010 to run in 2007 would be a problem.

So, apparently, Access has never been smart enough to be able to be backward compatible at all.

Hi thanks for your reply. I have just finished 'rebuilding" in Access 2007. Then make accde now seems all running fine on both versions. One of the things that tripped me up was I had some DoCmd.RefreshRecord which I discover in 2007 should be
    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdRefresh
