    Front End vs. Back End

    Hello All,

Been doing a lot of research through various websites and just wanted to do a info check:

Front - End, what the user interfaces with.
    • Comprised of Forms and Queries

Back - End, what db admin and managers interface with.
    • Comprised of tables and reports

My question is: Is there anyway to split the database so that the front-end is ONLY comprised of forms (i.e. the user cannot even see the tables or edit them)?

if so how do you do this?

    Thanks!

if your forms are unbound you can push and pull information by creating a connection to your tables every time you add/update a record. This can really slow down your database.

ANother option is simply to hide all the tables within your database. Unless your users know their way around Access the tables will not be immediately visible and may be the solution you're looking for.

And your front end contains all non-table objects. If you want to run a report from your front end the report has to be on the front end as well.
