    Need to delete special characters

I have an ODBC link to a SQL server table; however many of the fields have a special character in them that looks like a small square. This small square is where the user struck the ENTER key (one or more times). When the text is pasted into Microsoft Word, it does indeed create carriage returns.

Is there a way to compose a query that will strip out these characters or simply replace them with a SPACE?

    Thanks,

    You are using access right?
If so you can use the wizard to create and update query which is much a like a find and replace.

Take a look at the link and it will talk you through how to do so.
