    Question about Queries

Will access allow you to filter on a calculated filed? If so, how? This last filtered query will allow me to coplete the data base that I have been working on for months.

yes....possibly not in the same query...you may have to make a second query with the filter criteria using the first query (with the calculated field)....

I firgured out how to accomplis what I needed. There was no need for the two additinal calculated fields. I just put the filter criteria of year(now()) in the field for [record_year] and that workd.

I have built a nice report off of this query. The report is grouped by NAME

    oops....

in the group footer I show the name and a calculated field that SUMS the values of a field in the query. Now I would like to sort this report by that calculated field. I am having trouble here as well. Do you have any ideas on this?

Thanks for all of your help

I don't believe this is possible, but then there are some special people out there that have greater experience than I.

Would be interested if someone can do this.
