    shared DB on local drive

    hey,

I have my Back on the LDrive, and then front ends installed on other computers linked approprietly. 1 issue i have is that it constatly shows that the lock access file the back end creates when someone is in the DB is overwhelming. I was in the DB for 20 mins up the locked file, (Backend.laccdb) constantly adds and deletes on its own, which is fine, but everyones pc is constantly getting an update on the bottom right of the screen. is there a way around this?

    Thanks,

don't have everyone use the same front end, create a different front end for each user.

I don't know if it will solve your issue, but really, access is not a great tool for multiple concurrent users (more than 2 - 5). but if your data is not currently getting corrupted giving each person their own front end might solve your problem.
