    user-defined type not defined

    ....getting a user-defined type not defined for the last line in this snippet;
    I suspect that some add-in (or something) needs to be toggled ON (?)

    Option Compare Database
    Private Sub cmdOpenQuery_Click()
    On Error GoTo Err_cmdOpenQuery_Click

    Dim MyDB As DAO.Database

    many thanks in advance,
    Mark

    What version of Access? In older version you would need the Microsoft DAO library checked in Tools/References.
