Help installing Vertical scroll bar placement on a Form text box desired

I have a Form with a text box called “Note” defined as a memo field in the table “MaintenanceLogT”. I would like to know if it is possible to place a vertical scroll bar on text box “Note”? The text box Property Sheet has Scroll Bars defined as Vertical. I do not know what else is required to cause the insertion. Is a macro required? If so where to put it? TIA Phil

Shouldn't have to do anything else. The scroll bar should reveal when the control has focus.

Unfortunately I have holes in my understanding of "Control" and "Focus". What defines the two? are you saying that if the content of the text box is to large for viewing, then the scroll bar appears? Would be nice if it were always there. TIA Phil

The scroll bars does not show at any time, even when the note exceeds the text box frame. TIA Phil

A control is something on form and report objects. Those things can be textboxes, comboboxes, listboxes, labels, buttons, etc.

In this case, focus means the cursor is in the data control (textbox, listbox, combobox, checkbox).

Can't replicate the issue. Scroll bar shows for me as soon as cursor enters the control.

Thanks it works! It did not occur to me to place the cursor inside the text box. Thanks again. Phil
