    Question Importing pdf files

I have approximately 6000 pdf files that I would like to access from a database that has linking information. Is there a way to import the pdf files into the database. I do not need to convert the data from the pdf, the just have the ability to see the pdf once I have a query that locates the file in need to see.

You can save PDF documents in attachment field but be aware that Access has a 2gb size limit. Unless images are very small they can chew up this limit. The alternative is to save images in external folder and in a text field save image path\name. Here is code for embedding documents in attachment field http://blogs.office.com/b/microsoft-...cess-2007.aspx
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
