    Embedded Macro not there

Hi, I'm a complete access novice.
I'm creating form buttons to attach to another form in my database,
After creating it , it works fine but I want to go into the macro builder
to add some fore functions to the button as I've seen done in tutorial
video. However, instead of an embedded macro I get an event procedure
and it takes me into code builder and doesn't give me a choice of builder

and I can't code.. Any ideas much appreciated!
    Thanks
    Sam

Didn't know that they'd changed the default to Event Procedure in 2010; in 2007 you had to explicitly set it to that! Anyway

    1. Go to Office Button (Big Icon, Top/Left)
    2. Click on Access Options (bottom, right of Dialog Box)
    3. Click on Object Designers
    4. Go to Forms/Reports and Untick Always Use Event Procedures
    5. Click on OK (Bottom, Right)

thanks, but it's already unticked, the thing is the first few buttons I made used the macro so I was fine then all of a sudden it started using event procedures and I can't figure out why???

What, exactly, are these errant buttons being used for?

they're being used to link forms creating a user interface for my database (all the separate forms are made I just need to link them). For example I want one button to open up a form and close the main menu (the form on which the button is). I know exactly how to do this it it is a macro but not as an event procedure.
    Thanks Again
    Sam
