Need to permanently remove icon and text from top-left corner of Forms and Reports

    Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to permanently remove the icon and text/caption/title from the top-left corner of my Access Forms and Reports? I've been looking for the answer but have not been successful. It seems like it would be a simple fix but not obvious.

    Thank you in advance.

You cannot remove them completely, they're built into Access.

If you want to change the text though, you can do that by modifying the Caption Property on the Form.

What I do is type a space into the caption property.

As to the Graphic, I think the only thing you can do is to (in Properties - Format) change the Border Style Property to 'None.' That, of course, also does away with the Close/Maximize/Minimize Buttons, so you'd have to use custom buttons for these functions, but I usually do that, anyway.

    Thanks dr91075!

I thought that the caption might have something to do with it, however, I did not think of typing a space into it. I tried keeping it blank but that did not work.

    Again, thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion to hide the graphic. I did consider changing the border style to "None" , however, that brings up other issues as you have mentioned.

What I finally did was to click the "Office Button' to select Access Options -> Current Database and then for the "Application Icon:" browse to a "Blank Icon.ico" I created and check the "Use as Form and Report Icon" check box. The only problem with this is that I think that the Access program needs the ico file to be in the same folder or else the default icon will show up again.

Does anyone know how to "embed" the Blank Icon.ico so that the path to the icon is not broken and the Blank Icon stays in the top-left corner?

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks

    Linda
