Query doesn't work when launched by code

I have an append query that works just fine if you manually launch it. If you launch the same query either from a VB statement, or a macro, it creates the record, but only part of that record's data. Anyone ever heard of this??

For whatever reason, it works if I close the form, then fire the code, but not the other way around. Who knows...
