Angry Display total record number from query in text box

I am having trouble with something I think should be simple but its kicking my butt. I am trying to take the number of records in a query (don't matter what is in the boxes) and display that number in a text box in a main form. I am using multiple queries and 1 form.

I have about 8 queries coming from one table. And I want 1 main form with a bunch of text boxes that counts the number of records in each query. Ex: queryCOUNT - E-1 filters all people with the paygrade of E-1 into 1 list. And I want the E-1 text box on the main forum to display how many records are in that query. I have tried Count and DCount but I might be missing something. Thanks for the response.
