I need some help on designing a database for school....I'm not sure how many tables I would need. The instructions are:
Design a database that will help Netflix.ca do the following (but not limited to)…
1. Produce a list of all members and their account information including membership status (active, closed, suspended, etc), date the account was opened, contact information, the balance and the date the balance was updated. In case the account is closed, the date the account was closed is also required.
2. Produce a list of all members, their activation codes and the device they are connecting with (e.g. Apple TV, Wii, PS3, XBox, etc).
3. Produce a list of all member accounts
4. Produce a list of all transactions including the account(s) affected, the date of transaction, and the movie titles affected.
5. Produce a list of all movies by genre with description and rating.
6. Produce a list of all movies and their popularity by genre with date and number of views.
7. Produce a list of new releases.
8. Produce a list of all ratings made by movie, date, and time.
9. Produce a list of all viewer and critic reviews.
How many tables should I produce? One for account information, movies and transactions? Or do I need a new table where ever it says list, so 9 tables in total? I'm very confused and any help would be much appreciated....
