Access Query export to Excel form

I have an access database with compiled information to populate a pre built excel form. I want to take information out of the query and populate it into a specific field in the excel form. I am looking for advice on the best means to set this up. Would I need to use macros in access? I am able to obviously import the information into a worksheet in excel but again need to link it to the information in the other worksheet.
