ODBC Data Source driver for Visual Foxpro

I have a few computers at work, some with XP and others with windows 7. We have to use Access 97 because it has built in Foxpro links, to connect to DBF files used by an old oil & gas accounting software called Integra. We want to be able to install office 2007 on all the machines. I tried installing it on my XP machine and I had problems linking to the DBF files using the ODBC data sources visual Foxpro driver. The driver was 6.01 from 1999. I can't seem to find a newer driver for it and on the windows 7 machines there is no foxpro option in the ODBC data sources. The only things that I can find on Microsoft for download are updates for Visual Foxpro 7.0, 8.0 & 9.0.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Are these DBF files compatible with dBase? Could you use the dBase ODBC?

Can you use Access 97 to import the old files into Access tables?

Access 2013 eliminates all support for dBase files.

Foxpro files will generally only be able to be opened by a foxpro driver. Ive tried all the other available options in access 2007.

Sounds like the only recourse is to use Access97 to import data into Access tables for use by Access2007. Are these 'old' files static or is the accounting program still in use?

The files are active. The problem with this is Access 97 does not work with Windows 7 and we are increasingly having difficulties with it.

    Options I see:

    1. Keep an old computer running Access 97 that you use to import the data to the shared database for use by Access 2007 and up.

    2. Switch accounting software.

1- Since they are live tables I would need to link to them and you can't link to tables that are themselves linked in an older version of Access. We are always using these tables and they are constantly being changed by the accounting software. It would be too much of a hassle if we were always importing instead of linking.

2-We are using oil & gas accounting software and all the alternatives have their own issues.

I really appreciate these answers. It has gotten me thinking a bit. Maybe i'll be able to figure things out. At the very minimum I've found a great forum.

    FWIW,

I did a search and found
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/277772

And this post (from April) talks about downloading a VFP ODBC driver:

    from this link:

Thank you however both of those do not work. The download is the old 6.1 which only works with Access 2000. The other downloads are support for Visual Foxpro 7-9
