Access upgraded to 2010 from 2003, what path to take on issues

Hello, New to the forum, haven't used access in awhile and probably on the beginner/intermediate level.

A client recently upgraded his MS Access from 2003 to 2010, when he upgraded to Windows 7. He has a fairly complex database that was built a long time ago to maintain an membership/dues payments etc. in an organization. After the upgrade some things work, some don't.

The tables seem ok. What the query's work . All the forms will display but not work with the data properly. I'm also getting a macro error .

My reason for posting here is I've read a lot of info on the upgrade issues that can happen (I didn't to the upgrade, a tech support person that didn't know access actually talked him onto it) and just want to know where to start with questions. Forms, or macro errors? Also what details do I need to provide. (screen shots definitions?)

He has to have this running by the end of the year so I may be asking for someone to work directly with him that is far more knowledgeable than I.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to learning!

    Ron

I upgraded a 2003 file to 2007 without issues. The file runs fine in 2010 under Windows XP and Windows 7. I do have code issues if I try to run it on 64-bit computer. However, the only macro I have is an Autokeys, otherwise all code is VBA. Never had any encryption either (no password protection).

Unless this is a web database, I suggest converting all macros to VBA. VBA seems easier to debug. Reference link at bottom of my post for debugging techniques.

What do you mean by 'forms will display but not work with the data properly. I'm also getting a macro error.' What do the forms do? What are error messages?

If you want to provide for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
