Question Import Excel workbook into Access table using Excel's format (formulas, values, etc)

    All,

Is there a way to import an Excel workbook into Access keeping the various worksheets formatting such as Excel sheet's formulas, value, formats, comments, etc.? From google search so far, I can not find such a capability. I am able to import only the data from Excel workbooks into Access table, but loosing all the Excel workbook's formatting associated with the sheet.

    Thank you.

    David

?? You are working with 2 different products -- what exactly did you want to do with Excel formulas (attached to a cell in an Excel sheet/workbook) while in Access? Perhaps if we knew more about your situation, some options might be available.

    Orange,

I am using Excel 2010 and Access 2010. I imported 6 Excel workbooks with multiple tabs into a single Access table to perform data analysis and generating various queries. I did not impact the individual fields in the Access table. I added a Requirement Number field to the Access table. Now I need to export the Access table back to the 6 Excel workbooks with the multiple tabs. I want the Excel workbooks in the same format again.

    Thank you.

I don't do much in Excel (minimal usage) and I don't use excel 2010.

I'm not even sure where excel stores its formulas etc..
What happens when you try it? Did something disappear?
I don't see why Access would keep anything other than what it needs in the tables.

Why exactly do you need both SW packages??
