Using Package Solution wizard so a user can use my database via Access Runtime 2010

    Hi all,

I'm having a hard time with the Package Solution wizard so a user can use my database via Access Runtime 2010. I feel like I followed all the steps correctly, but when the user opens the .accdr file, the following pops up:

After clicking open, nothing appears at all. What am I doing wrong? The database and the runtime folder are attached.

    Thank you!

    Tony

Never used the Package Solution wizard so haven't got a clue. It does sound like a trust issue. Maybe you have to run with Admin rights to install it?

Ah, okay. Thank you anyway for taking a look Steve. Can anyone else offer some insight?

Regarding the security notice, you need to modify the "Additional registry keys" of package solution wizard.Click the "Add" button. Add the following values in the columns: Root - "Current User", Key - "Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Access\Security\Tr usted Locations\{GUID}", Name - "Path", Value - "[DATABASEDIR]". This will prevent the security message pop up. See the attachment and use this as "wizard settings" while creating your packaged solution.

Your database should provide a form or menu to the users to interact when it opens. It seems you have not selected a display form when database opens.
