    Counting TOP/first 10 in Query

    Good day everyone.

I would like to ask a question regarding my query. I want to display the first 10 of the query so i used TOP, but it displays 11 records. TOP 9 als0 shows 11 records. Top 7 and 8 shows 7 and 8 records respectively. TOP 5 and 6 shows 7 records. Am I missing something from my query?

Thank you for the usual help..

My initial thought was it is because the first field in query is not a unique ID but I find it odd that TOP 7 and 8 show 7 and 8 and TOP 5 and 6 show 7.

Want to provide sample data? To provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    dont use a function.
open ur qry, right click and choose property. left click on a blank area where ur table, queries are. this will show u qry properties. in tops values assign 10 as the value. when u type in 10, it makes it 100, delete the last 0. run.

also dont use spaces anywhere when naming feild, table, query collumn etc. u can change it in the form/report label.
