Find the most current ID for the record that was entered?

    Hi.

I have a form where the user enters a record. Then, from a dropdown, they select a status for that record. Eventually, the record will have multiple statuses. But what I want to do is when the form loads, it only displays the LATEST status.

Our table is designed as having a field called "ID" (autonumber). Then, a "BenefitID" (n8mber), and a Status(number). I'm thinking I can do this by showing the max "ID" value, but how do I do that in the code? How can I have it return and display in the combo box, the LATEST ID for that BenefitID?

    thanks!
