Question Problem with totalling a time field

Hi I have a continuous form with a date/time field that has an input mask 00:00:00 to display as long time.

When I sum the field in the footer it works fine unless the hours are below 10.

    For example....

If the field value is 3 hours it shows as 3:00:00, and in the sum field it displays as 30:00:0_

I think because the initial field has 'knocked off' the zero where it should be eg. 03:00:00, the sum field may be taking the 3 as the first digit?

However if there are a few records with say values of 5,4,3 the total will display as 12:00:00 which is correct. So it is only when the total of the field is below 10 that I have this issue.

    Can anybody help?

Don't understand. This field is a Date/Time datatype? Sum of a Date/Time field results in a value of days.

Is this really a number field?

Yes both the time field and the sum field are formatted to Date/Time. I know the true value is probably in days but like I said, it works fine unless the value is less than 10, in which case the zero is removed from the start of the time field and the sum field shows as 30:00:0 instead of 03:00:00

    Hi Its OK,

I managed to resolve the issue....

I edited the input mask so that the zero would be visible and its now working
