Rats! Thanks much!
Rats! Thanks much!
If I break the relationships, change the primary key, then reset the relationships to the new primary key, will I foul up a whole bunch of stuff?
If so, would it mostly just be going into any SQL statements and queries and replacing OrgName (current primary key) with OrgID (new primary key)?
I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth doing, or a nightmare that would probably fail, anyway.
You're in an area where I've not gone before. Whatever you do, do it to a backup as a test and be safe.
Keep in mind, Access will not let you link to the "new" PK unless *all* of the records have valid values in that field.
You have likely not gone there because you had more fore-sense!!!!
I did copy and attempt, and I got the bird from so many directions, I'm just sucking it up, as is, and moving on!
And thank you!
I wish I had a simple solution for you. Sorry.
Me, too!! : )
But I really appreciate your time and thought!
