How to create a template for a medical practice

Hi There, I am quite new to MS Access and I am just wondering if theres a way I can create a customise database for my workplace. We are looking at replacing the old record cards that sit on the desk that records each clients visit and the price they paid. We do use MYOB for all our accounting etc but we are wondering if there is a way that we can create a database that enables us to record the date and price paid for each visit for every individual client? Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks
    Tamara

Of course it can be done. It will be a long process. Doesn't MYOB allow that accounting? There is lot of off-the-shelf accounting software available. Why recreate the wheel? Quickbooks is one relatively inexpensive and easy to use app.

We can help with specific issues encountered as you develop database. Start thread and post question on the issue.

Thanks for your reply I appreciate it. Unfortunately MYOB doesnt have a feature that allows you to record each visit as a record in that kind of way. Is there some sort of template I can use to start up this database?

I don't know that any will suit your requirements. Check out the Northwind template, at least you might learn a lot from it.

Additionally, you could also check out a link suggested by Orange :
    http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/topic238.html

Go to "Library Models" in that page or alternatively,
    http://www.databaseanswers.org/data_models/index.htm

There are quite a few models shown there. Just search for keyword "patient" on the page.

    Thanks
