"OLE Object" Fields - More user-friendly way of working with them

Hi, all!



I have an OLE object field (OrgAttachment).
On my form (OrgAddF), this field is supposed to let them add an attachment -- perhaps an info flyer that is used by the organization.

Is there a way to put this on a form thatis more user-friendly than the "right-click, select a file type from a long list of strangeness, and, after uploading, get a weird sort of icon" method? Something like an "Add attachment" button that brings up a "browse" dialog, and after the item is located and selected, it lists the file name of the item?

Those are just about the best references I have seen, especially the one about code for attachment field.

Keep in mind, the friendlier the interface, the more code needed. If you aren't already well-versed in VBA programming, this effort will be quite a leap. So what do you mean by 'Advanced Beginner'? Have you been developing with VBA?

Thanks, June! Quite honestly, I'm not sure what the breakdowns would be, but even though I've done a bunch on my own in this database, I'm thinking, based upon what I've learned from you all, that Proto-Beginner is probably more accurate!!!!!
