how to disable command button

i just want to know how will you disable the command button that when you press it, it will be disabled?

for example:

i have a save button which name as cmdsave. now, i input a vbcode which is cmdsave.enable=false. but, when i run it, it says that you cannot disable it becuz it is has the focus. how is that?

so set your focus elsewhere but not in the button that you are using or not in any control has is disabled.
